Big Village was commissioned to create a consortium that could bid for lottery funds in support of an innovative youth engagement project.
We brought Global Radio, the UK’s largest commercial radio operator, into partnership with UK Youth and the BPI/BRIT Awards
Our plans secured:
£4.0m funding from The big Lottery Fund and
£2.0m advertising support
...and we delivered the resulting live events.
The Big Music Project:
Engaged with over 4 million young people
Created 100 hubs around the UK in youth organisations offering accredited training to 1,000 young champions in association with The BRIT School

National events also included hands-on mixing sessions with Chase & Status; Q&A sessions with Plan B; and performances from Union J, Eliza Doolittle, MNEK, Becky Hill, Rhydian and emerging artists from around the UK
Promoted a national music competition
Offered hundreds of work-taster sessions and dozens of paid internships in the music industries
